created to fill a gap we couldn’t ignore.
In a city full of services, there still wasn’t a space focused on what so many neurodiverse young adults are missing:
real, low-pressure opportunities to socialize with people who just get them.
No guided instruction. No therapy techniques. Just weekly hang-outs (like game nights, movie outings, picnics, coffee shops, and ballgames) bringing together people who share interests, skillsets and communication styles.
belonging isn’t a goal- it’s the starting point.
The idea started with a little brother (Roman) and a big sister (Marleigh), both dreaming of a more connected future. Roman is on the autism spectrum, and like so many others, when he aged out of his school-supported social life there weren’t many opportunities ready to replace it.
So we decided to build it.
Social Circle aims to ensure that every young adult has access to fun, inclusive, in-person experiences that lead to real friendships. We’re building something big here- starting in Kansas City (our hometown!), but designed to grow wherever connection is needed.
